Short story? The series revolves around a former CIA officer recruited by a mysterious billionaire to prevent violent crimes in New York. Long story? It revolves around two men who exist on this show in a completely non-romantic way (no sarcasm, they really don't play it up). We watch them build their trust and friendship. The ladies on this show are also fantastic. Oh, and there's crime.
about the blog
This is a blog devoted to Person of Interest. Unless my uni gets in the way, I gif and edit every day as much as I can. I enjoy meta, speculations, spoilers and everything interesting.
If you'd like something more personal from me, here it goes.
I love Person of Interest because it isn't your typical crime procedural. I mean, yes, it has a crime to solve each episode but first of all, we have no idea if they're going to be the victim or perpetrator which makes it really interesting, and secondly, they almost always have a larger story arcs. There are so few standalones - it's almost frustrating because there's not one awesome episode you can watch with your friends to get them to watch the rest. They're all awesome but you need to be following the plot from the start to understand just how excellent it all is, how it all ties together.
Much could be said about the characters, but not that they're boring or cliches. A few started out as such but they were quickly developed. This doesn't mean that I love them all but I sure appreciate the depth they were given and what actors bring to their part.
No story arc is forgotten, people die, kneecaps are shot and explosions happen. If you're a fan of dystopia, it's really something you must watch. It can be frustrating, you probably won't have a dry eye after a few episodes, but it will be worth it.
